White Bluffs Center – Phase 2 Project
Planning is underway for the second construction phase at the White Bluffs Center in north Richland.
This next phase includes constructing a 20,000-square-foot STEM Welcome Center as the proposed new home for the Manhattan Project B Reactor Tours visitors center.
The Port also envisions a space where community members and tourists can view the USS Triton memorabilia and displays before walking across the street to see the decommissioned submarine’s sail. The U.S. Navy has permanently loaned Triton’s sail and conning tower to the Port for public display.
Supporting STEM
This new STEM Welcome Center would advance the community’s STEM education and workforce initiative and help attract tourists. The facility will also provide school groups access to STEM topics dating back to World War II.
Projected Schedule
Planning for the White Bluffs Center—Phase 2 is complete. Once funding is secured, the Port will set a project timeline.
Project Funding
Port of Benton is currently applying for grant funding for this project.
