WHO: Port of Benton, Great Prosser Balloon Rally, Media

WHAT: The Port of Benton is partnering with the Great Prosser Balloon Rally to provide a member of the media with a unique opportunity to experience one of the Tri-Cities region’s most beloved events from a new perspective.

As part of the Rally’s designated Media Day, one media representative will be selected to take flight in a hot air balloon during the morning launch activities.

The experience will offer a firsthand look at breathtaking views, vibrant balloon launches and the community spirit that has made the Great Prosser Balloon Rally a signature regional event.

WHEN: Friday, September 25, 2026
Morning launch activities (specific meeting time will be provided to selected participant)

WHERE: Prosser Airport, 111 Nunn Road, Prosser

The partnership highlights the region’s tourism, recreation and community events while providing the media with a memorable storytelling opportunity and an unmatched aerial perspective.

Media representatives interested in being considered for the flight opportunity should contact Summers Miya at [email protected] by Noon on Thursday, September 17, 2026. If multiple media representatives express interest, one participant will be selected through a random drawing.

Please note that hot air balloon flights are weather-dependent. Weather conditions or other safety considerations may delay, modify, or cancel flight activities.
