Stuart Dezember, CPA, PPM® Rejoins the Port of Benton

RICHLAND, Wash. – The Port of Benton is pleased to announce that Stuart Dezember has rejoined the organization as Director of Finance.

In this role, Dezember leads the Port’s financial operations, including budget, financial reporting, and oversight of grants and capital projects. Additionally, he manages key administrative functions, including payroll, benefits and related operational processes.

“Stuart brings a deep understanding of our financial systems and a proven track record in corporate finance,” said Ron Branine, Interim Executive Director. “We are excited to welcome him back and look forward to the leadership and expertise he brings to advancing the Port’s mission and supporting economic growth in our region.”

Dezember has extensive experience in accounting, finance and taxes, working with organizations ranging from small businesses to large corporations across commercial, governmental and international markets.

“I am pleased to rejoin the Port of Benton and contribute to the important work that is supporting economic development in the Tri-Cities,” said Dezember. “This community continues to grow and evolve and I look forward to helping grow the economic opportunities in the region.”

Dezember graduated from Central Washington University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He previously served at the Port during 2003 to 2020, earning his Professional Port Manager (PPM®) designation.
