RICHLAND, Wash. – Julia Mora has joined Port of Benton as an accounting specialist.

Mora formerly worked as an accounting assistant at Basin Disposal. Previously, she was with HAPO Community Credit Union for 17 years, spending nine years in operations before moving into an accounting position.

“Julia brings a vast amount of experience and knowledge to the role,” stated Diahann Howard, PPM®, PPX®, port executive director. “We are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

Mora brings a diverse range of skills from operations to administration and, in her new role, will focus on accounting and administrative tasks.

“I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to take the ‘field’ with the Port of Benton team,” said Julia. “I look forward to hitting multiple home runs, developing a sound defense, and most importantly making a home here at the Port. In the words of Babe Ruth, ‘Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.’”
