Port Sells Benton City Development Building to Issar Properties, LLC – A Subway Franchisee

September 30, 2025

RICHLAND, Wash. – Port of Benton has sold their Benton City development building to Issar Properties, LLC, marking a significant milestone in the region’s ongoing commitment to economic development and revitalization.

Originally acquired by the port to support local business growth and enhance infrastructure, the Benton City building underwent a series of strategic repairs and improvements aimed at increasing its viability for private investment. These upgrades included structural enhancements, aesthetic improvements and essential maintenance to ensure the building was ready for future commercial use.

“The port’s investment in this property was always intended to be a catalyst for private sector growth,” said Diahann Howard, port executive director. “The sale represents a successful transition from public stewardship to private enterprise.”

Issar Properties, LLC, a well-established Subway Franchisee, adds this location as its 12th Subway store throughout the Northwest and its first in Benton City. As a new business in the community, Issar Properties is excited to contribute to the local economy and is actively seeking a tenant for the adjacent space within the building, offering a prime opportunity for another small business to join the growing commercial hub.
