Richland, WA – February 3, 2020 – Joseph Walker is an experienced aviation professional and holds his Bachelor’s of Science in Aviation Administration from Utah Valley University. Walker is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and holds multiple certifications from AAAE. Walker accepted the position of Airport Manager with the Port of Benton on February 3rd, 2020. His knowledge and experience will bring an emphasis on FAA compliance, strengthened partnerships, professional administrative practices, and customer service.

Walker’s responsibilities include: managing overall safe operations, projects, master plans and lease administration for both airports. Walker previously worked for the City of Vancouver, Pearson Field Airport. There he managed over 175 leases and business development opportunities for the airport; by fostering mutually beneficial working relationships with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Port of Portland (PDX, HIO, TTD), National Park Service (NPS), The Historic Trust, Pearson Field Education Center (STEM Program), and the community.
