RICHLAND, WA; APRIL 6, 2020 – The Port of Benton has hired Miles S. Thomas, AICP as the Port of Benton’s Director of Economic Development and Governmental Affairs. The Port previously contracted Mr. Thomas as a consultant to fulfill the Port’s economic development and state/local governmental affairs duties. After fulfilling this role for the first quarter of 2020 the Port offered Mr. Thomas the position permanently.

 

Mr. Thomas brings over 10 years of community and economic development experience to this position. “It just made a lot of sense for our organizational needs right now”, stated Diahann Howard, PPM Executive Director. “Miles has been a valuable asset who brings a level of expertise that complements our team.”
