Richland Airport Electrical Replacement Project Wraps Up
The lights are on and functioning for both runways and taxiways. Crews are cleaning up and finishing minor tasks, which will be outside the runway and will not impact aircraft operations. There will be no further runway closures related to this project. The Port obtained a $3,156,583 million, 100% grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to fund the replacement of the entire electrical system at the airport, which will replace all runway and taxiway lights. The project began in July.
