Crews have finished the majority of the work, and the 100LL SELF-SERVE TANK IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR USE. The NOTAM has also been removed.
A few remaining items will be completed next week, and a second application of pavement markings is planned for late October.
Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout construction. We appreciate your cooperation as we wrap up the final stages of the project.

🚧 SR 240 Construction Notice 🚧 |
|
WSDOT and its contractors will be performing warranty asphalt work on SR 240, including improvements to the roadway transition at the Port of Benton railroad tracks.
📅 October 8–9
🕕 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
Traffic will be shifted during construction to keep the roadway open. Lane reductions are expected, so please use caution and allow extra time when traveling through the area.

City of Richland To Host Comprehensive Land Use Plan Open House |
|
Tonight! October 7, 2026
The City of Richland is nearing completion of the process to update its Comprehensive Plan to provide a 20-year framework for local planning, infrastructure policy, and investment through the year 2046. Updates to the Development Regulations (Zoning and Subdivision Codes) will occur to meet state requirements and implement the Plan.
The City’s Planning staff will share the work and answer questions that may arise such as: What codes changes are proposed to increase available housing options in the City? or Will zoning maps be changing? You are invited to remain - or become – involved and there are many options for participating and commenting on the proposals, helping to shape our City’s future: An Open House for the draft Plan and draft Regulations will be held October 7, 2026 at the Richland Public Library from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Gallery. The first Public Hearing will be held by the Planning Commission in late October and Plan Adoption is expected in December 2026. The update to the Critical Areas Ordinance (for continued protection of environmentally sensitive areas) will occur in early Spring 2027. |
