The #PortofBenton office will be closed Friday, June 19, in honor of Juneteenth.
At its July 14, 2021, meeting, the Port of Benton Commission adopted Resolution 21-32, formally recognizing June 19 as a Port holiday and honoring Juneteenth.
This day marks the emancipation of those who were enslaved in the United States and represents a pivotal moment in our nation’s history—one that reshaped our country and advanced the ongoing pursuit of freedom and equality.
The Port of Benton is committed to honoring Juneteenth as a time to reflect, recognize progress, and reaffirm our dedication to opportunity and equity for all.
